Leeds Mermaids is a teaching club

for Synchronised Swimming in Leeds

Synchronised Swimming is an exciting aquatic sport which combines swimming, gymnastics and dancing.

We are part of the City of Leeds Synchro training program and, along with 6 other clubs, feed into the City of Leeds Synchronised Swimming Club.  The other clubs are in Yorkshire, Northumberland and Durham, which together make up the North East Region of the ASA (Amateur Swimming Association).

At Leeds Mermaids, we offer youngsters who enjoy swimming, the chance to specialise in an Olympic sport that is growing in popularity. 

As well as Synchro, the Club also runs classes for anyone wanting to complete the ASA National Teaching Plan AquaFun awards, stages 8-10

These sessions are run on a school term basis, across several pools in the Leeds area. Following these certificates, swimmers then undertake National Recreational Grades 1-5 and National Competitive Skill levels 1-5
